I'm Marc Stan — a senior full-stack engineer and founder. I run the engineering behind a store doing 150K visits a month, and I build the same calibre of product, performance and automation work for clients.

What I do
I'm a generalist who goes deep where it counts. Most engagements are some mix of these — design, build, deploy, and keep it running.
End-to-end web apps that go from idea to revenue. I own the whole stack — UI, API, data, infra — so there are no handoff gaps.
I make WooCommerce stores fast and cheap to run. Custom plugins, server tuning, and Core Web Vitals work that survives real traffic.
The boring work that quietly saves hours every day — order pipelines, invoicing, stock sync, supplier feeds — wired together and left to run.
Modernising serious business software. ERP systems, CQRS refactors, and typed React front-ends that a team can keep building on.
Selected work
No mockups or made-up case studies. These are products and platforms I actually built and run — with the metrics and stack that back them up.

A WooCommerce toy store I co-run and keep fast.
I co-founded and run the engineering behind a high-traffic Polish toy store. I migrated it to a Hetzner CX53 VPS (16 vCPU / 32 GB) on OpenLiteSpeed with Redis and OPcache, and wrote the custom PHP plugins and cron jobs that handle order processing, stock sync, supplier integrations and email workflows. I also built an end-to-end automation system that replaces manual dropshipping work: the supplier offers no API, so it drives their website directly to place orders automatically — a headless browser workaround that runs unattended. Paid acquisition runs at 9+ ROAS on Facebook at 1–1.2K PLN/day.

My freelance & contract practice.
End-to-end web apps for clients in React/TypeScript, .NET and WordPress, plus the automation and infrastructure to run them. API integrations, n8n and webhook pipelines, and Hetzner cloud infra (OpenLiteSpeed, Redis, OPcache, backups) wired up with CI/CD and Docker.

Battle-tested store tooling, productized.
I am turning the WooCommerce performance tooling I built for my own store into commercial plugins. ShopTune focuses on backend performance; OrderHQ is an orders workspace (coming soon). Real tools, proven on real traffic before they ship.

A comprehensive solution for the vacation rental business.
An all-in-one platform for vacation rental businesses — bringing bookings, guest management, channel sync and operations together in one place, built on the same stack and infrastructure I run for my own projects.
Full-stack engineer · 2019 — 2025
Serious business software, modernised.
Years of building and modernising ERP systems on ASP.NET MVC. I refactored backends toward CQRS/MediatR and led the React Query / Zodios / TypeScript front-end modernisation — building reusable file managers, form creators and recursive CRUD components on DevExtreme. Earlier, I wrote CI/CD-integrated end-to-end test suites in Selenide (Java) for secure banking systems.
Tech stack
Chosen for shipping and longevity, not novelty. I run all of this in production today.
About
I am an operator who builds his own tools. I co-run a WooCommerce store doing six figures of monthly traffic, which means I do not get to hide behind a clean staging environment — the code I write runs against real customers, real money and real ad spend every day.
That pressure shapes how I work. I care about systems that stay fast, infrastructure that stays cheap, and automation that quietly removes work instead of adding it. When something I build for my own store proves itself, I productize it — that is how WooPlugs started.
Before going independent I spent years on enterprise React and .NET — modernising ERP systems toward CQRS, building typed front-ends, and writing automated test suites for secure banking software. I write code that is meant to be maintained, not just demoed.

Let's build
I take on a small number of remote contracts and freelance engagements at a time. Tell me what you're building — I'll reply with honest thoughts on how I'd approach it.
